The club will be hosting a "Women in the Outdoors”
event on April 19. This event, sponsored by the National Wild Turkey
Federation, is an opportunity for all women interested in outdoor
activities to meet other women with similar interests and spend a fun day
learning about the outdoors.
Classes offered will include archery, outdoor first
aid, intro to power tools, outdoor photography, basic shotgun, handgun
safety and handling, self protection/self defense, basic auto care, and
some craft classes such as beading, felting and Native American coiled
baskets. The event is open to all women at least 14 years old.
Nashua Fish & Game is providing many of the
instructors for the courses. (Thank you to those members who have
volunteered!)
The event organizers are seeking additional
committee members to help plan the event. If you would like to get
involved with a good cause that will help promote the outdoors in our
area, please come join us! Both men and women are welcome.
Please call Terri Partin at 465-3855 if you would
like to participate.
